Style Icons Of 2011

Beyonce top my list for this category. She's done it all, studded, lace, lengthy/midi, colour-block, you name it. With a successful fashion line in US and international, she's definitely worked very hard to be on this list. She looks very ROCK CHIC in this outfit. This shows are fashion versatility.

Olivia looks colourful in this multi-coloured dress and cardigan. Her sense of style and humble confidence has got her to my top style icons of 2011. Her necklace is one of her designs at Roberta Freymann.

Rihanna is no stranger to my fashion list, yep I said it. This outfit is so creative, so fashion forward and definitely stepping in SS12.

Kelly Osborne has come a long way from her depression days to drug abuse. I have total respect for girls like her who admit their mistakes and start from a clean-slate. Starting from what she loves. Love can definitely change many things. Her style is an experiment, but an experiment well executed.

Well, well, well. Blake Blake. What can I say, she looks absolutely gorgeous, doesn't she? Not just now, always. I will describe her style as Americana and Minimal. Sometimes less is more.

This outfit was lastweek's outfit of the week. Emma Watson is now one of my top fashion icons of 2011. Not that I still anyone's style, but I adore are combinations. Reminds me of PARIS :)

Nobody does animal like Keri Hilson. Nobody does flat shoes like Keri Hilson. Nobody has so much confidence like Keri Hilson. Can you think of any other reasons why she's here? Oh just a minute, she's a fashion build-up. She wears bits of everything. Remember her video with Ne-yo and Kanye West?

The new mum looks FINE all the time. Fur are must-have for every fashionista, you need to have at least three, different colours of course. Her style is elegant, sophiscated and effortless. Very Me :)

Gwen Stefani's style keeps evolving, with her new ethnic print collection at L.A.M.B SS11. She looks amazing in ethnic. Stop playing girl, you have been spending too much time with Solange Knowles.

Ok, you might not expect this but she certainly deserves to be on this lists. Forget her Royal status and think of her Royal impact. She has single-handedly changed the traditional Royal Wedding dress for a more "Its about me and William, me referring to Kate. To be honest, a very modern and classic selection. No offence to the traditional.

SJP has made our summer very very colourful, her style is so ladylike. From Sex and the City to I Don't Know How She Does It. I love this dress, same colour dress and shoe is obviously back.

Solange Knowles Shoes

Solange Knowles is definitely my number one for most experimental, fearless, versatile and unique fashionista in the business. Her style is very ethnic and 70s inspired. Look at the braids.

My first interview was with Fatima Jabbe, a Gambian actress and model. She recently starred in “The Mirror Boy”. Fatima resides in the UK, however, her extensive charity work traces back to Gambia.

F: I am currently working on some more Nollywood movies.

High street display

I was in Manchester yesterday for a Postgraduate Fair. I couldn't help but notice the incredible display of winter accessories from different stores: Debenhams, Primark, Republic, H&M and Next. They look so Winter White and Red White Christmas. Love them all. However, I was more intrigued by Primark's display and I had to capture it. It's Thanksgiving right? well in some places. Their catch-phrase says "LOVE TO GIVE". Absolutely brilliant! There is no better way to encourage people to give during this festive period, and considering their market value due to high volume of customers' and sales. This message will get to thousands of people. This BLOG is making that happen.

Here are the images of Primark window display in Manchester:

A mixture of bold knitwears and bright accessories to make your winter a fashion-forward adventure rather than cold and boring.

Everything you need ladies and gents you are certain to find it here. From shoes, bags, suits, you name it. Great display too!

Primark proves that, you don't have to be rich to look fabulous. Your fashion secret weapon, is in your creative mind. Styling is the only way to create a fabulous outfit (s).

This is the message everyone, LOVE TO GIVE.

On the street of Manchester.

Christmas wrap at the Arndale Centre, Manchester.

This display is from a different store (Internacionale). Not festive looking but great for travel (don't forget the blazer). The bags are fabulous for a weekend getaway to Paris or Milan lol anywhere darlings.

Lady Gaga

It's incredible to see the success of Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta better known as Lady Gaga, from a natural young lady from  NYC to a worldwide stage queen. She has dominated the entertainment industry in a short space of time, with her loud, catchy and emotional performance. The same can be said for her fashion. Gaga is one of the most unique fashion queens of our time. She is the only one that could pull off wearing a meat dress, or wearing a Jesus Cross over Fetish outfits. It couldn't be anyone else, only Gaga, lets take a look at her transformation from before to "right now"....
Looking beautiful here until she was possed lol, cannot say that about the queen of fashion. Love you GAGA x

I must say, this is ridiculous and should not be allowed anywhere on the street. With all the money you've got.

Abso-freaking-lutely gorgeous, great colour blocking

Red Hot Chilli Sisters

Red hot Chilli Sisters thats what this ladies (below) are. Many celebs have been spotted in red, but I have brought you this images from the Heart Truth Red Dress Fashion Show. Red is a fearless colour, so if you can pull it off, then you are certainly fearless to me. Remember, minimal accessories makes the outfit look chic rather than clashy. Length red dress should speak for itself, less make-up and go all the way for a perfect hair. For me, THE ONLY WAY IS RED!

Pregnant Laila in a gorgeous off shoulder dress, Taraji P. Henson in a sequine red number, Garcelle Beauvais is looking graceful indeed and Eve looking so angelic da rouge

The center Truth created The Red Dress as the national symbol for girls and heart disease awareness in 2002 to deliver a wake-up call to American women. If only looks could cure illnesses, the world will be disease-free with this looks. If only....

Three is a crowd

So here is the dilemma, you turn-up at an event and notice another person in the same outfit as you. What would you do? Get yourself out of there as fast as you can? or Just smile and pretend you knew all along (Surprise!!!!!!). Arhh, I don't think so. If I find myself in a situation like that, I would embrace it and have something to remember.

But, what if two others are dressed in the same outfit as you? Yes that's right, two is a secret that is sweet to remember as I say, but three is a freaking crowd people. I would not find that funny at all. I think I would lock myself in the ladies for a while. Well, not for this celebs, they just love been triplets from different parents :) or maybe just too much supply from the designers. If you think about it, how many people can afford this expensive dresses. Well, lets take a look at this triplets then....

So the wonderful SJP has been smoulded by this two aliens, sorry, I mean... ladies. SJP for life and to be really really honest, she looks better than this two. This dress was made for her. Yep I said it!

Oh dear, this lot have gone a bit further, four is a total mess but who do you think looks better in this number?

Personally, I would say they all look good in their own way. Not sure about what Rihanna is carrying over her shoulder.

Below are other images of celebrities in same dresses but this time on the street.

When I first saw this outfits, I couldn't stop laughing at how ridiculous they look. Frankly, they look really nice (aka Sci-Fi). I love it! Fashion is fun, right? L-R: Coco, J-woww and Kim Zolciak.

Solange Knowles

Solange Knowles is no shadow to Beyonce when it comes to fashion. The T.O.N.Y singer who also DJ has taken ethnic/contemporary fashion to a whole new level. She mixes ethnic fashion with mainstream designs creating a unique look that only few celebrities have been confident to pull off, particularly at awards and events.

Below: Solange dressed up her denim shorts and heels with a statement necklace, heels, long cardigan and turban. I call this look "ethnocentric".

Looking stunning in this season colar blouse, shorts and dangerously high ankle boot

A personal identity. She has worked two seasons together, S/W. Thats a new trend!
Three different outfits, one unique and creative individual. It is beautiful to see colours in every outfit. I get you Solange, you love shorts & colours

Mixing ethnic print is very fun to see, a uniquely creative outfit. Well done Solange.

A 50s classic, love the black lipstick and short hair.
I love the fashion & art theme. It expresses a multi-dimensional personality. Fashion-forward in sequin leggings, patterned jumper and animal styles high heels
